Paying for Rides with M-Pesa: A Quick Guide
M-Pesa is one of the easiest ways to pay for a ride in Kenya — no cash needed, and payment is confirmed instantly.
How it works
- At the end of your trip, select M-Pesa as your payment method in the app.
- Confirm the payment prompt sent to your phone.
- Enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the transaction.
- You'll receive a confirmation once payment is complete.
If a payment doesn't go through
- Check that you have sufficient M-Pesa balance.
- Make sure your phone has network coverage to receive the prompt.
- You can switch to cash payment for that trip if needed.
